Features and types
The ARPIMEX catalogue available on L'Arcolaio is divided into five main areas. Each area meets a specific need: from the preparation of wedding favours to Christmas tree decoration, right through to gift wrapping.
Ribbons for wedding favours and packaging
Ribbons are the brand's largest category, with over 100 active references. You'll find the classic grossgrain ribbon (also in the Supreme version) in colours such as dove grey, white, chocolate and neon pink, available in widths from 10 mm to 40 mm and in rolls from 20 to 50 m. The taffeta ribbon — in ivory and dusty pink tones among others — is among the most used for packaging wedding and christening favour bags. For a rustic and natural style, the jute ribbon in orange, lavender and other colours is offered in widths up to 5 cm on rolls of 18 m. The range is completed by lace ribbon in white and ivory, in heights from 2 to 4 cm, ideal for borders on ceremony packets and bags.
If you are looking for materials complementary to ribbons, you will find a selection of decorative ribbons for wedding favours and ceremonies that also covers other brands. To compare the options of different suppliers, you can also browse the page dedicated to ribbons.
Wrapping paper and packaging
ARPIMEX offers various types of paper in roll format. The Polymatt roll (H 1 m × 25 m) is available in a broad palette — white, black, gold, red, pink, nude, sage, sky blue, dark blue — suitable for wrapping large gifts with a matte finish. The honeycomb rolls (H 50 cm × 20 m) in white, blue, green and natural are appreciated for plastic-free packaging, thanks to the paper structure that protects fragile items. The Carta Roccia d'Acqua (100% paper) in sky blue and yellow is an alternative with a distinctive texture.
Glass wedding favours and confetti holders
For weddings, christenings and communions, ARPIMEX offers transparent glass bottles in two versions: height 10 cm with base 4 cm, and height 11 cm with handle, both to be personalised with ribbons and confetti. The transparent boxes with heart-shaped top (4×4×4 cm, pack of 10 pcs) are a compact alternative for those wanting a ready-made container. The confetti holders in transparent PVC tube (3.5×2×11.5 cm, pack of 50 pcs) are a practical solution for distributing confetti neatly at communions and confirmations.
The glass jar candles with wax are available in two formats: D 8.5 cm H 10 cm and D 10.5 cm H 13 cm, in four neutral colours — black, grey, brown and red — that suit any ceremony theme. They are used directly as a finished wedding favour or christening favour, possibly enriched with a matching ribbon.
For those seeking alternative containers, the page jars and glass test tubes brings together complementary solutions for wedding favours and decorations.
Christmas decorations
For the Christmas season, ARPIMEX offers decorative fabric angels in various versions: with tree skirt (h 17 cm, dusty pink colour), with ivory star, and in the 18 cm fabric version in white. The velvet bows (13.5×10 cm) in blue, fuchsia and other colours are ideal for decorating gift boxes, garlands or doors. The Christmas picks (e.g. Pick Bella Rose 20 cm in blue) can be inserted into garlands, centrepieces and arrangements. Among the high stock products we also find Velvet Christmas stockings 61 cm in red and Christmas shoppers in small format (12×16×6.5 cm) and medium (18×23×10 cm) with multicolour print, useful for wrapping gifts or as a complement to decorations.
The ARPIMEX decorations line uses declared materials: fabric, velvet and plastic; no glass or metal in this specific line.
Accessories for ceremonies and artificial flowers
ARPIMEX also includes picks with plastic flowers (e.g. Pick Rosa Ortensia white, 3.6 cm) and decorative candle holders with artificial flowers and leaves, useful for ceremony centrepieces. The Polycotton Net (H 48 cm, 5 m) in white expands the options for those who create DIY floral arrangements and compositions.
How to choose ARPIMEX products
For wedding or christening favours: pair the transparent glass bottles with an ivory or dusty pink taffeta ribbon. If you prefer a functional favour, glass jar candles with wax (black, grey, brown or red) are ready to give even without further decoration. The PVC tube confetti holders from 50 pcs are ideal instead for those who need to set up many place cards independently.
For communions and confirmations: the transparent boxes with heart-shaped top (pack of 10 pcs) are a practical and neat choice. A thin ribbon and a personalised label are enough to complete them.
For Christmas decorations: velvet bows adapt to boxes, wreaths and doors. Fabric angels work both as tree decorations and as place cards on the table during Christmas lunch. Pair them with a jute or grossgrain ribbon for a coordinated result.
For gift wrapping: choose the Polymatt roll if you need to cover wide boxes with a matte and resistant finish. Prefer the honeycomb roll if you want to protect fragile items with a 100% paper material, without adding plastic bubble wrap.
On the colour front, the ARPIMEX palette covers neutral tones (white, ivory, dove grey, nude), vibrant shades (neon pink, orange, fuchsia) and seasonal colours (gold, dusty pink, lavender, red). This makes the products suitable both for elegant ceremonies and colourful decorations for parties or Easter.
Other brands with a complementary offering in the field of ceremonies and ribbons are ETM, Furlanis e Piovaccari: on L'Arcolaio you will find all three selections.
Frequently asked questions
What materials do ARPIMEX ribbons use?
Ribbons vary by material: grossgrain and Supreme are made of synthetic fibres interwoven with a striped effect; taffeta is a smooth and slightly glossy weave; jute is a natural plant fibre. Lace ribbon has a perforated structure. The exact composition of each item is listed in the product sheet.
Are glass jar candles suitable as a finished wedding favour?
Yes. ARPIMEX candles in glass jar (D 8.5 cm, H 10 cm) already contain wax and are available in four colours: black, grey, brown and red. They are used directly as a wedding favour or christening favour, possibly enriched with a matching ribbon from the same brand.
Are PVC tube confetti holders sold individually or in a pack?
The transparent PVC tube confetti holders (3.5×2×11.5 cm) come in a pack of 50 pcs. The glass bottles (H 10 cm and H 11 cm with handle) are instead sold as a single piece in the catalogue.
Are ARPIMEX gift wrapping rolls made of plastic or paper?
It depends on the type. The Polymatt roll is made of opaque polypropylene. The honeycomb rolls and Carta Roccia d'Acqua are instead 100% paper. If you are looking for a plastic-free solution, aim your choice at these latter.
Are ARPIMEX Christmas angels used only on the tree?
No. The fabric angels — with tree skirt (h 17 cm) or with star — are also used as place cards on the table, decorations on gift boxes or elements for Christmas centrepieces. The velvet bows (13.5×10 cm) are instead suitable for decorating doors, wreaths and packages.
L'Arcolaio was founded in 2000 as a small wholesale business for wedding favour bags in Pignataro Interamna (FR), just a few minutes from the Cassino exit on the A1 motorway. Today the 5,000 m² sales outlet — open Monday to Saturday 8:30–19:00 and Sunday 10:00–19:00 — includes a refrigerated room dedicated to confetti. The entire ARPIMEX selection is also available online with delivery throughout Italy and in 21 European countries.
