Gold Plast

Features and types

Glasses and wine glasses

The Wine Cocktail Glass 470 cc is the most versatile product in the range. Available in transparent, Tritan blue and purple, it is suitable for red wine, white wine or long cocktails such as spritz. The size is comfortable to hold in hand even while standing, ideal for buffets and ceremonies. For aperitifs with finger food or quick toasts, the Tall Conical Shot Glass 75 cc — in packs of 25 transparent pieces or in a coloured version — is the right choice: reduced capacity, stable on the tray, convenient to grab.

For those looking for something more informal, the Balloon Tonic Glass 582 cc with fuchsia stem adds a splash of colour to a party table. The Fontus SAN Ice Bucket in rigid transparent plastic completes the range for those serving chilled wine or champagne directly at the table.

Disposable cups

Cups are the highlight of the Gold Plast catalogue. The main differences lie in capacity and shape:

• Sodo Cup (50 cc) — pack of 50 pieces, transparent. Ideal for mousse, sorbets and small individual desserts.
• Pagoda Cup (65 cc) — narrow and tall profile, pack of 25 pieces. Works well for amuse-bouche or creams.
• Waterlily Cups (70 cc) — petal shape, pack of 20 pieces in transparent. More decorative than the others.
• Cube Cup (60 cc) — square design, pack of 60 pieces. Contemporary appearance, appreciated for ceremonies where table presentation matters.
• Taste Cup (90 cc) — pack of 20 pieces, transparent. Medium capacity, good for spoon desserts.
• Rombo Cup (95 cc) — angular edge, pack of 25 pieces. Suitable for ice cream and tiramisu.

Almost all cups are in transparent plastic; some items are also available in white or black for those who want a chromatically defined table setting.

Plates and trays

The Nice line covers serving sizes. The Nice Flat Plate (230×230 mm) in a pack of 15 pieces and the Nice Large Plate (290×290 mm) of 12 pieces come in the Mango variant, a warm shade suitable for summer and informal tables. The Nice Rectangular Plate (345×230 mm) is available in China red, a practical format for main courses or appetisers on the buffet. For those completing the table setting with serving items, Nice rigid plastic plates can be matched with glasses and cups from the same range.

How to choose

By type of event

Weddings and ceremonies. Prefer the 470 cc glasses and Cube or Rombo cups for a neat-looking table. White and transparent colours blend with light tablecloths and table centrepieces. If you want to coordinate disposables with table decorations, check out the disposable tableware and accessories available on L'Arcolaio, or complete your cart with items from Christmas disposables if the ceremony falls in the Christmas period.

Christenings and communion celebrations. Small cups (Sodo 50 cc, Pagoda 65 cc) are suitable for single-portion desserts served to children as well. Large packs (50-60 pieces) reduce the cost per cover for events with many guests.

Parties and informal celebrations. 75 cc conical shot glasses for aperitifs and shots, Rain or Rombo cups for ice cream and sweets. The Balloon Tonic Glass with fuchsia stem adds colour without looking elaborate.

Professional catering. Packs of 50-60 pieces of Sodo and Cube cups reduce the number of orders to manage. Combine them with products from Dopla — another brand in the catalogue on L'Arcolaio — to cover tablecloths, bags and disposable accessories in a single order.

By colour and aesthetics

The transparent option is the most versatile: it matches any palette, from classic white to sage green. The white gives a warmer effect, typical of ceremonies. The black works well on modern or themed table settings. Bright colours (Tritan blue, purple, fuchsia) are designed for themed parties or to add a chromatic accent to an otherwise neutral table.

By quantity

As a practical reference: you need approximately 2-3 cups or glasses per guest at a buffet with multiple courses. Packs of 25 pieces cover events of 10-15 people; those of 50-60 pieces are suitable for events of 25-30 guests or more. If you're unsure about the quantity, it's better to have a spare pack: the packs are sealed and store easily.

Frequently asked questions

Are Gold Plast tableware items disposable or reusable?

The Gold Plast products in this collection are disposable plastic tableware, designed for single use at buffets, catering and parties. They are not intended for repeated dishwasher washing. The exception is the Tritan glasses, which by construction are more resistant: check the instructions on the individual product sheet.

How many pieces are in each pack?

Packs vary by model: 12 pieces (Nice Large Plate), 15 pieces (Nice Flat Plate), 20 pieces (Waterlily Cups and Taste Cup), 25 pieces (Pagoda Cup, Tall Conical Shot Glass, Rombo Cup). Sodo and Cube cups come in 50-60 pieces per pack. Check the product sheet for the exact count before ordering.

Can I use the Gold Plast Glass for both wine and cocktails?

Yes. The Wine Cocktail Glass 470 cc is designed for both uses. The capacity is suitable for a good pour of wine, but also for long cocktails such as spritz or gin tonic. Available in Tritan blue, purple and transparent.

Can I find Gold Plast in other formats or similar brands on L'Arcolaio?

Yes. To set up a complete table you can integrate Gold Plast with other brands in the catalogue: Bigiemme for accessories and party table setting items, Fade for tableware and glasses with a different range, and glasses and table accessories for a broader overview of reusable and disposable materials.
