Agnelli since 1907: what you'll find in this collection

Agnelli has been making cookware since 1907. The catalogue available on L'Arcolaio features over 170 references including pots, pans, baking trays, colanders and accessories: all Agnelli branded products, in aluminium, nitrided steel or Aluinox 3 Ply trilaminate.

We have selected these lines to cover the most common needs of domestic cooking and for those cooking for a large number of people: from the 20 cm frying pan for two people to the 32 cm casserole for more demanding preparations.

Features and types

Tall Aluinox 3 Ply casseroles

Agnelli tall casseroles are available in diameters from 16 cm up to 32 cm. They come with 2 handles in stainless steel — for stable transport even with abundant liquids — or with 1 handle for more agile use on the hob. There are two finishes: Hammered (which better hides signs of wear over time) and Polished Stainless Steel (linear and classic look). Suitable for soups, broths, ragù and boiling.

Low casseroles (rondò)

Low casseroles cover sizes 16, 20 and 24 cm, in both finishes and with a choice between 1 or 2 handles. The wider base compared to the height makes them ideal for reduction cooking, sauces and braised dishes.

Aluminium baking pans

I Agnelli Aluinox Hammered 3 Ply baking pans are offered in the sizes 24×6 cm e 28×6 cm, both with 2 stainless steel handles. The low and wide shape is suitable for browning meats, cooking vegetables or preparing baked dishes.

Also in the range is the Aluminium baking pan with 2 handles in sizes 16 cm and 20 cm: a more accessible line, in pure aluminium, designed for everyday use.

Frying pans: non-stick aluminium and nitrided steel

The tall flared aluminium frying pans with single stainless steel handle are available in diameters of 28 cm and 32 cm, ideal for stir-frying and deep-frying. The Tall non-stick aluminium frying pan for induction at 28 cm completes the range for those with an induction hob.

The Nitrided Steel 1907 line — with black PVD stainless steel handle — is offered in diameters of 20 cm and 24 cm. Nitrided steel is a material without chemical coating: it requires initial seasoning with oil, then improves with regular use and lasts over time.

Baking trays, cake tins and colanders

For pastry-making and oven cooking, the range includes:
- Rectangular blue sheet baking tray 45×35×3 cm: for roasts, lasagne or focaccia.
- Conical cake tins in aluminium with rim H 3 cm, in sizes 22 cm and 32 cm, for tarts and classic cakes.
- Gastronorm aluminium baking tray H 4 cm: a professional format useful also in domestic kitchens for large preparations.
- High segment colander in aluminium Ø36 cm: professional format, useful for draining large quantities of pasta.

Accessories

Completing the range is the Chromium-plated tray stand (diameters 19 and 28 cm) and the Porcelain inserts for baking pans and frying pans from 16 cm and 20 cm — useful for bringing to the table directly from the pan in a neat manner.

How to choose the right Agnelli pot

For the number of people: as a general reference, the diameter in cm is roughly double the number of people for water-based cooking (20 cm for 2–3 people, 24 cm for 4, 28 cm and over for 6 people).

For the type of cooking: the tall casserole works well for soups and boiling; the low casserole (rondò) for sauces and reduction cooking; the baking pan for browning; the flared frying pan for frying and stir-frying.

For the finish: Hammered hides scratches and signs of wear; Polished Stainless Steel has a cleaner and more classic aesthetic.

For the hob: the Aluinox 3 Ply line is compatible with induction, gas, electric and glass-ceramic thanks to the outer layer of stainless steel. Pure aluminium frying pans (baking pans from 16–20 cm) are not compatible with induction — always check the individual product sheet.

For gift occasions: a tall Aluinox Polished Stainless Steel casserole with matching lid is a lasting gift for weddings, new homes or birthdays. The stainless steel lids are available in diameters 16, 20, 24 and 28 cm and match the casseroles of the same size.

For complete combinations between pots and kitchen accessories, you can also explore the section pots and pans for the kitchen and the Ballarinirange, another quality reference in non-stick and professional frying pans.

Frequently asked questions

Are Agnelli Aluinox pots compatible with induction?

Yes: the outer stainless steel surface is magnetic and compatible with induction hobs. This compatibility does not apply to all products in the range (e.g. pure aluminium baking pans): always check the individual product sheet before purchase.

What is the difference between a tall casserole and a low one?

The tall casserole is designed for boiling, soups and broths, where depth is needed. The low casserole (rondò) has a wider base compared to its height: it is ideal for reduction sauces, braised dishes and cooking where liquid gradually evaporates.

How do you clean Agnelli stainless steel pots?

Warm water and neutral detergent are sufficient for ordinary cleaning. Avoid abrasive metal scouring pads that scratch the surface. For encrustation or limescale, white vinegar diluted in lukewarm water is an effective solution. Dishwasher compatibility should be checked on the product sheet for each item.

What is nitrided steel and why is it used in frying pans?

Nitrided steel is steel treated thermally to increase its resistance to rust. It has no chemical non-stick coating: it requires initial seasoning with vegetable oil before first use, then improves with regular use. It is a lasting choice for those who prefer cooking without coatings.

Can I match Agnelli lids with any casserole?

Agnelli stainless steel lids are calibrated to diameters 16, 20, 24 and 28 cm. They can be matched to Agnelli casseroles and baking pans of the corresponding size. For pieces from other brands, check the inner diameter of the rim.
